Boston Marathon 2005

Vincent and Krista Zarella, first-time marathoners, finished at an incredible 4:04:16 and 4:17:20, respectively. They also raised almost $1500 for Generation Excel! We thank Vin-Man and Krista from the bottom of our hearts. Great, great job!

Gary Marino, Bob DeVasto, Russ Surrette and Brett Johnston also ran the marathon and raised funds for Generation Excel. Many thanks to them all for their efforts, and thanks to the folks who cheered them on!

It's not too late to make a donation in any of the runner's names! All funds raised by these runners will go directly to the following initiative:

Physical Fitness After-School Programs
Generation Excel is committed to helping children fight obesity through fitness programs and nutrition education. We are working with established Boston-area programs, as well as developing our own, to offer affordable or free after-school programs to at-risk kids. In addition to keeping them active now, we are introducing kids to various sports and activities, including martial arts, swimming, aerobics, and tennis, among others.

Please make a donation and help us make a difference in a child’s life

"I want to inspire people like myself, hopeless food addicts stuck in the negative mindset of self destruction for most of their lives. I want them to realize they have the power within themselves to change - to dig deep inside to fix themselves."
